Responsibilities: Interns will support a team of advisors in various aspects of the Wealth Management process throughout the course of their internships. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Business Development: research and identify prospective clients, develop and implement marketing strategies, follow up with prospective clients to schedule meetings, create PowerPoint presentations for clients and prospects
- Client Service & Business Administration: prepare correspondence to mail to clients, update client information, schedule client meetings and respond to client requests
- Investment Analysis: monitor and track portfolio performance, screen mutual funds and gather due diligence information on investment managers using Bloomberg terminal and Morningstar Analytics (training provided)
In addition, interns will be encouraged to drive their own Personal Development daily, including reading market news and highlights, and will focus on a new learning objective on a weekly basis (account types, investor strategies, investment vehicles, etc.)
Qualifications: Applicants should have excellent organizational and analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is a must. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated and energetic, with a strong interest in the financial industry. Advanced knowledge in computer information systems is a plus. An educational background in finance, economics, business, marketing, or a related field is desired but not required.
