Agency Description: Kupu is a Hawaii-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to benefit local communities through programs that promote youth education, environment, stewardship, and cross-cultural exchange. Kupu in Hawaiian means “to sprout, grow, germinate, or increase.” Like the kupukupu ferm, Kupu’s heart is to bring life back to the people, the land, and the ocean. Kupu runs the Hawaii Youth Conservation Corps and the Hawaii Urban Corps.
