Rising Phoenix Jaycees is seeking volunteers to help with:

Past, ongoing community service events:

March 20, 2010: United Cerebral Palsy Association's Rubber Duckie Race. Dump the rubber ducks into the Ala Wai for the race and then net them out of the Ala Wai afterwards.

March 27, 2010 Kaimuki Easter Egg Hunt at the Waialae district park. Provide a booth and kids games for the community for free.

March 29, 2010 Special Olympics Summer Games @ UH. Various stations.

August 8th, 2010 Special Olympics Bocce Ball & Soccer Events. Various stations.

Upcoming community service projects:

October 23 (Saturday) ADOPT-A-SCHOOL DAY @ Aliamanu Elementary(painting parking lot lines)

November 19 (Friday) ADOPT-A-SCHOOL DAY @ Kapalama Elementary. Career day where we bring in different professionals to demonstrate/talk about their careers.

November 25th (Thursday) Thanksgiving Lanikila Meals On Wheels. Deliver food from the Lanikila facility to the staging area at Moiliili Community Center and then distributing the food to needy individuals and families.

December 4th (Saturday) Special Olympics at Hickam Air Force Base (Bocce Ball or Bowling) Officiating and/or awards giving.

December 25th (Saturday) Lanikila Chirstmas Meals on Wheels. Deliver food from the Lanikila facility to the staging area at Moiliili Community Center and then distributing the food to needy individuals and families. .

Agency Desc-ription:

We offer opportunities for leadership development, community involvement and networking for men and women ages 21 - 40. Our main purpose is leadership development through community service. latest news: rpjhawaii.wordpress.com

Special Requirements:

Will be trained on site for Special Olympics. Rubber Duckie Race requires lifting of heavy wooden crate and fishing them out of the Ala Wai (protection provided). Meals-On-Wheels requires...wheels :)
