|Hawaii Bicycling League (HBL) teaches 4th grade students on Oahu during the school year.
Classes are taught for 3-4 days per week at each school.
Each group of 20-30 4th graders per school is taught 45-60 minutes per day.
This is a very successful program in demand by schools and students.
HBL would like to reach even more students. This can be done if we have HBL member volunteers trained to assist our instructors occasionally. HBL volunteers can be taught to teach individual students who don't know how to ride bike. Then these students can benefit from the BikeEd classes. HBL volunteers can also bring up the rear (be the last cyclist) when students are taken out on nearby public streets to practice their skills. This is a rewarding and gratifying experience.
