Hawaii's Plantation Village has a few volunteer opportunities available in the following sections:
- Docent/Guide
- 1 week training needed
- Guide visitors through 30 buildings on 5 acres of reconstructed sugar plantation village
- 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Monday - Saturday opportunities
- Education Docent
- Minimal training for games and activities for school children tours.
- 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Museum Collection Department Aide
- Data entry of artifact records
- Artifact history - identify, measure, use, ethnicity
- Photograph artifacts, add to computer
- Organize research material available to the public
- Copy photographs in collection, add to computer
- Scan original donor forms into computer
- Inventory collection
- Wrap and label artifacts for storage
- Put accession numbers permanently on artifacts
Volunteer Hours Needed: We can work with the individual.
Is there a time commitment? Month for all opportunities EXCEPT guide - Semester
